About us

The Messaging Company is part of the Atmail group of companies. Atmail was founded in 1998 in Kurrajong in New South Wales, before relocating to the beachside town of Peregian Beach in Queensland, Australia in 2007. Since 2021 Atmail has been headquartered in Brisbane.

The Atmail group has provided innovative, secure, and private, white-labelled email and messaging services to ISPs and Telecommunications providers worldwide for over twenty years.

In 2023, The Messaging Company was formed as a consumer-facing brand helping service providers continue to offer email to their customers without needing to maintain this niche expertise internally.

The Messaging Company pledges to maintain the highest standards of data protection and security, ensuring that every email remains private and confidential. We believe privacy is a fundamental human right, and we strive to earn your trust by being transparent, responsible, and accountable for the service we provide and the data you entrust us to manage.

The Messaging Company leverages Atmail’s ISO 27001 certification to ensure industry best practices protect your data and privacy. We leverage Atmail’s partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to ensure your service remains available. We also leverage our history and expertise to deliver an intuitive and modern interface that is inclusive by design and fully meets WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA guidelines.

We are continually innovating to stay ahead of evolving threats to keep your inbox secure. As advocates for online safety, we actively collaborate with experts, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to shape responsible practices and contribute to the broader digital ecosystem.

We are excited to now offer a consumer-direct service and we look forward to providing you with an excellent email experience.

Acronym guide:

ISO 27001 is the leading standard for information security management systems. Our conformance with this standard means that we have implemented a system that aligns with the International Standard and industry best practices to manage risks relating to the data security that we own or handle as part of our daily operation.

Recognised as the leader for the 12th straight year in a row, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing environment designed for security and reliability. The AWS core infrastructure provides services to many high-sensitivity organisations, including banks, military, service providers, and governments – including many names you’ll recognise today, such as Netflix, Coca-Cola, Ferrari, AirBnB, Philips, Verizon, General Electric, HSBC, eHealth New South Wales, and Goldman Sachs.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 are designed to make content more accessible to people with disabilities, including support for assistive technologies for blindness and low vision, the ability to navigate and interact with the user interface without the use of a pointing device (such as a mouse or trackpad), themes and aesthetics suited for people with low-contrast sensitivity or colour blindness; and icons and interaction design that supports people who do not have fine motor skills.
